A recent study published in Chem Catalysis by Hansen et al. presents a microporous layer-supported catalyst-coated membrane featuring a low-loaded IrO₂ catalyst layer (0.1 mg/cm2) supported by 0.4 mg/cm2 of platinum black. This innovative anode demonstrated enhanced performance compared to the baseline with a higher Ir loading (1 mg/cm2).
