The leaching of active boron centers is a key concern for boron oxide catalysts in oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODHP). In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Xie et al. report that construction of a porous Al2O3 nano-wall on supported boron oxide catalysts can confine volatile boron species for stable ODHP.
