Identifying the active phase derived from δ-FeOOH for photo-driven CO2 hydrogenation

Photo-driven carbon dioxide hydrogenation is a promising strategy for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Ozin and co-workers utilize various in situ characterization techniques to explore the structural transformation of δ-FeOOH during hydrogen activation and pinpoint its active phase in the photo-driven reverse water-gas shift reaction. This study establishes a comprehensive approach for correlating the structure-activity relationship.
