In situ oxidized MXene improves CO2 reduction activity of CoPc

In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Xu and co-workers used oxidized MXene as support to tune the activities of cobalt phthalocyanine for carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR). The strong molecule/support interactions enhanced ∗CO hydrogenation, leading to a higher methanol yield. This finding highlights the role of the support effect in molecular electrochemistry.
