An asymptomatic 65-year-old woman was referred to our endoscopy unit after a screening positive faecal occult blood test. Colonoscopy revealed a pale, whitish colonic mucosa with yellowish specks (figure 1), congestive areas and foci of lymphoid follicular hyperplasia (figure 2).
