Jeffrey Gorman received his master’s degree in chemistry from Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof. Iain McCulloch and spent a year in industry at Merck KGaA, where he pursued the development of organic photovoltaics. He received his PhD in physics in 2020 under the direction of Prof. Sir Richard Friend at the University of Cambridge, where he studied ultrafast exciton evolution on DNA platforms. He joined Prof. Mark Bathe’s laboratory at MIT Biological Engineering as a postdoctoral researcher working on DNA origami. His research interests lie at the interface of synthetic chemistry, DNA assembly, and energy materials for studying and controlling light-driven processes.
