An unprecedented three-component reaction building on palladium-catalyzed aminoalkylative cyclization between an aminoenyne, an aldehyde and a boronic acid or diphenylsilane is developed. This provides a facile access to multisubstituted exocyclic 1,3-dienes bearing 5 to 8-membered saturated N-heterocycles in a regioselective and stereodivergent fashion.
