Abstract

The preparation of trisubstituted closo-decaboranes by reacting 1,2-boroxazoles with PhI(OAc)₂ was studied. The process could be implemented in a one-pot variant proceeding from borylated iminol. The reaction products were characterized by ¹H, ¹¹B, and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy. The XRD structure of the compound [B₁₀H₇(1-IPh)(6,10-NHOCCH₃)] was determined.
