Two N-doped nonalternant nanoribbons featuring N-heterocycles, fused pentagons, and bulky solubilizing groups are prepared, showing the largest molecular length of 33.8 Å, a high electron affinity, and a good chemical stability.They are demonstrated to be an excellent material for nonlinear optical (NLO) applications, achieving the highest nonlinear extinction coefficient of 374 cm GW−1, superior to the classical material C60 (153 cm GW−1).
