The redox active bimetallic dithiolene complex Cp2Mo(btt)MoCp2 (Mo2B) exhibits four successive electron transfers up to the tetracation. The isolated dication [Cp2Mo(btt)MoCp2]2+, with either chair or boat conformations associated with folded MoS2C2 metallacycles, exhibits a diradical character and strong antiferromagnetic coupling.
