Chiral carbon nanorings with excellent photophysical and chiroptical properties have been synthesized. Importantly, Chiral ternary complexes, consisted of chiral carbon nanorings, 18-Crown-6 and protonated chiral amines, display excellent narcissistic chiral self-recognition for protonated chiral amines.
