The Ni-modified NH2-UiO-66(Zr)/nickel foam with abundant mesoporous pores enables the progressive conversion of NO into nitrate without releasing remarkable NO2 by refining the reactive oxygen species to ⋅OH and can achieve the simultaneous storage of metabolic nitrogen for crop plants through a flow photoanode reactor. This study provides a state-of-the-art strategy for NO removal and sustainable nitrate storage.
