Ethylene-D4 glycol has been prepared by Ru supported on MnBDC (MnBCD was an support of the catalyst,. derived from a Mn metal–organic framework prepared by Mn precursor and p-phthalic acid ) nanocatalyst both thermo- and electrocatalytic hydrogen isotope exchange (HIE) reaction. Hydrogen spillover and electron flow on the catalyst promote the high deuterated ratio of 97 % in thermo- and electrocatalytic systems, respectively.
