Two novel dicyclic C-geranylated flavanones, fortunones D (1) and E (2), were isolated from the fresh mature fruits of Paulownia fortunei (Seem.) Hemsl. Their structures were elucidated by the extensive spectroscopic data analyses (UV, HRMS NMR, and CD). Each of these two isolated compounds possessed an unusual dicyclic geranyl group. Compounds 1 was more sensitive to human lung cancer cell A549 and exhibited potential anti-tumor effect (IC50 = 9.72 μM).
