This review aims to offer a full-scale lens to discuss recent developments including fundamental process, design principles, and performance for pollutants removal from three perspectives like photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, and chemical activation. Furthermore, the review try to analyze the challenges, and further envision the prospects of the H2O2 generation for pollutants removal in the future.
