The hollow mesoporous CuO nanotubes are successfully synthesized using a time-efficient and environment friendly surfactant-assisted soft template approach and employed as an anode material for Lithium-ion battery application. The fabricated unique CuO nanotube electrode manifests excellent electrochemical performances.
