Coupling CO2 reduction and organic conversion can create a win-win situation, and this can not only obtain high-value chemicals with high selectivity, but also reduce reaction overpotential and improve energy efficiency. In this review, we discuss the characteristics of different coupling systems, and propose opinions for further development of this direction.
