A single solution-phase synthesis method for charged covalent organic framework nanosheets (COF-NSs) is developed. Charged monomers and appropriate solvent with good solubility and ion dissociation ability are mixed as a high-concentration stable colloidal solution, in which substantial charged COF-NSs are formed via charge-induced in-plane oriented growth, achieving high volume yield.
