Sweet as honey: Honeycomb-type TiO2 (Hc-TiO2) films are fabricated as the electron transport layer for MAPbI3 perovskite solar cells (PSCs). A preferred orientation of perovskite crystals is achieved under the confinement effect of Hc-TiO2, and the photonic crystal structure gives rise to light trapping in the Hc-TiO2. Consequently, the structured PSCs show excellent tolerance toward the optical path changes.
