The Cu/TiO2 composite with excellent electronic structure of t2g orbital-occupied Ti was realized by adjusting the combination extent using a photo-deposition method. This electronic structure of t2g orbital-occupied Ti originating from the electronic synergistic effect of copper favors charge transport. The optimized Cu/TiO2 composite exhibits a productivity of 15.27 μmol g−1 h−1 and a high selectivity of 95.9 % for CO.
