An upconversion luminescence-controlled strategy is reported for efficient delivery of therapeutic DNAzyme via NIR light-boosted endosomal escape. The system enables enhanced gene-silencing efficacy and combinational therapeutic outcome, thus providing a robust approach to overcome current limitations of DNAzyme delivery.
