Organic-inorganic hybrid metal halides (OIMHs) are ideal as luminescent materials for stimuli-responsive technology due to their soft crystal lattice and high chemical activity. In this review, the stimuli-responsive behaviors of luminescent OIMHs based on Sb3+, Bi3+, Pb2+, Mn2+ and so on under different stimuli, including contact, pressure, mechanical force, light, heat, and gas molecules, as well as the applications of the stimuli-responsive behaviors are summarized.
