Two crystalline open-framework scandium phosphate-oxalates, formulated as C₄N₂H₁₄∙Sc₂(HPO₄)(H₂PO₄)₂(C₂O₄)₂·3H₂O (1) and C₆N₂H₁₈∙Sc₂(HPO₄)₃(C₂O₄)∙H₂O (2), were prepared by solvent-free metho using N-methyl-1,3-propanediamine and N,N-diethylethylenediamine as the structure-directing agents, respectively. They have different three-dimensional structures with intersecting 8-, 8- and 12-ring channels. Compound 1 shows temperature-dependent proton-conductive behaviors. Compound 2 emits blue luminescence upon 365 nm UV light irradiation at room temperature. The second-harmonic generation response of this compound was also investigated.
