BHMTHF synthesis: Direct catalytic transformation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfual towards 2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydrofuran using low-cost, eco-friendly, and benign heterogeneous metal nanocatalysts is of great interest because it can be exploited in a wide range of industrial applications such as green solvents, biofuel precursors, and renewable monomers.
