Coating coverage importance on gassing: At elevated temperature, comparison of pristine and carbon coated LTO by in operando pressure and temperature measurements shows that the partially coated surface does not suppress, rather promotes the gassing of LTO by the facilitating spontaneous charge-transfer reactions. Hence complete coating on the LTO surface is necessary for mitigation of gassing reactions.
