Lipases have been used to catalyze the synthesis of anthrone-functionalized benzylic amines in supercritical carbon dioxide. Satisfactory yields and mild reaction conditions make this method highly viable for practical applications. Furthermore, this study provides a new example of a lipase-catalyzed organic reaction and is expected to expand the utilization of lipase in organic synthesis.
