Boron-, sulfur- and nitrogen-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) emitters are designed and synthesized to combine high photoluminescent quantum efficiency and rapid reverse intersystem crossing in one multiple resonance system for efficient narrow-band blue emission with full width at half maximum of 29 nm, which provides an avenue to expand the structure library for PAH skeletons with multiple resonance effect and narrow-band emission.
