Supercapacitors based on S-doped carbon materials have demonstrated enhanced conductivity, surface wettability, and induced pseudocapacitance effect, thereby delivering improved energy and power densities. This Review provides various synthetic approaches of S-doped carbon materials and their application as supercapacitor electrodes. In particular, the effect of S-doping on the performance of supercapacitor is discussed.
