Abstract
The reaction of 2-chloropyridine-3,4-dicarbonitrile with anilines in propan-2-ol in the presence of N,N- diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA) in a sealed vial at 120°С involves the nucleophilic substitution of chlorine and yields 2-(arylamino)pyridin-3,4-dicarbonitriles.
