Going round again : Owing to their unique topological structures, biological stability, and ease of coupling with rolling circle amplification for the synthesis of a long, single‐stranded product with tandem repeats, circular nucleic acids have been extensively applied in diagnosis, therapy, and bio‐nanotechnology. Progress in the discovery, construction, and applications of circular nucleic acids is reviewed.
