众所周知的铜基金属有机骨架（MOF），即Cu 3（BTC）2是合适的非均相催化剂，以促进H 2 O 2将芳基硼酸氧化成室温氧化为相应的酚。使用0.5当量的H 2 O 2，Cu 3（BTC）2在60分钟内显示80％的转化率，高于在相同条件和反应时间下用Fe（BTC）达到70％的转化率。Cu 3（BTC）2可重复使用，且活性没有明显下降。此外，再利用的Cu 3（BTC）2的粉末XRD与新鲜的Cu 3（BTC）2相比，结晶度没有变化，表明催化剂在反应条件下保持稳定性。对于各种苯基硼酸，研究了Cu 3（BTC）2作为氧化性羟基化反应的非均相催化剂的范围。
