近几十年来,物理化学及其相关学科在中国得到了显著的发展。这一增长可归因于基础科学和应用研究领域的战略投资,包括太阳能电池和催化。同时,随着越来越多地女性科学家参与到科学研究中,研究领域也随之大大丰富和多样化。
在20世纪90年代和21世纪初,女性研究员作为小组负责人的情况很少见。快进二十年,情况发生了戏剧性的变化,如今有相当多的女性科学家在领导科研团队,做出了许多开创性的发现,并影响着化学研究的方向。尤其,中国的女科学家必须克服根深蒂固的性别偏见,挑战社会规范,才能获得领导职位。尽管有这些障碍,她们仍然坚定不移,继续着她们非凡的上升轨迹,并激励着下一代科学家。
