We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct research in the investigation of materials and chemical processes using a variety of time-resolved spectroscopic techniques including femtosecond transient absorption, fluorescence upconversion and femtosecond Mid-Infrared spectroscopy. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct research in ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy of nanomaterials including 2D materials and perovskites.

• Analyze and interpret time-resolved experimental data

• Function as an independent researcher with a high-level of attention to detail.

• Great ability to write and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, physics, optics, materials science or a closely related field within the past five years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopic techniques

• Ability to work in a very dynamic research environment

• An excellent record of productive and creative research shown by publications.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in English.

Proposed Start Date: July 1, 2020

Length of Term: One year with a possibility of extension up to three years
