Peking University Peipei Zhang Lab
Dr. Peipei Zhang is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Peking University Health Science Center. She completed her Ph.D. work at National Institute of Biological Sciences (NIBS)/ Beijing Normal University in 2014. She pursued her postdoctoral training at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital from 2014 to 2021. She has published peer-reviewed papers in highly impacted scientific journals including Cell, Elife and EMBO Reports et al. OptoGranules that she developed was issued by US patent office and licensed by companies.

Dr. Zhang's research interest has focused on molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases. 1. Investigate the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, including ALS, FTD and IBM. 2. Use in vitro and in vivo system to elucidate the molecular mechanism and biological functions of RNA granules. 3. Study the roles of autophagy adaptors in neurodegenerative diseases.
