Kai Yuan Professor Yuan Lab
Dr. Kai Yuan is currently a principal investigator (PI) at the Institute of Molecular Precision Medicine, Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, and an adjunct PI at the Center for Medical Genetics, School of Life Sciences, Central South University. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the School of Life Sciences at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2004, and earned his PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from USTC in 2009 under the supervision of Professor Xuebiao Yao. He conducted postdoctoral research and worked as a specialist at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) from 2010 to 2016, under the mentorship of Professor Patrick O’Farrell. Dr. Yuan joined Xiangya Hospital, Central South University in 2017 as an independent PI. He also serves as the director of the Biobank of Xiangya Hospital since 2019.
