Introduction to the group
Plant Metabolism and Immunity
The Phytolipid Synthesis and Immune Signalling Group is based on the School of Forestry and the Key Laboratory of Forest Genetics and Biotechnology of the Ministry of Education, Nanjing Forestry University. There is one professor and one associate professor in the group. The group mainly focuses on model plants such as Arabidopsis thaliana, poplar and thin-shelled hickory, and intends to explore the genetic elements that regulate plant lipid synthesis, and genetically improve the target species through gene editing. Another research direction of the group is to develop chemical small molecules to enhance plant immunity by means of chemical genetics, and to analyse their mechanism of action.
