We develop key materials for green and sustainable electrochemical energy storage systems and study the underlying mechanisms via advanced operando characterisation techniques. Our research focuses on the following topics: 1. next-generation extreme-fast charging high-energy density lithium-ion batteries 2. high-performance sodium-ion batteries 3. advanced operando characterization techniques
