Rongkun Jian Professor School of Chemistry and Materials, Fujian Normal University

Prof. Rong-Kun Jian works in the college of Chemistry and Materials Science, Fujian Normal University. He obtained a bachelor's degree and a doctorate degree in polymer chemistry and physics from Sichuan University in 2009 and 2014, respectively. From 2018 to 2019, he was engaged in postdoctoral research at IMDEA Materials Institute, Madrid, Spain. In 2020, he was selected into the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships. So far, he has presided over one general project and one youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one general project and one youth innovation project of the Natural Science Foundation of Fujian Province. His research interests are focused on the synthesis and properties of flame retardant, anti-fouling and anti-corrosion polymers. In the past five years, 24 peer-reviewed first/corresponding-author papers have been published, and all papers have been cited for more than 1200 times without self-citation.

Focusing on the functionalization, high-performance and recycling of natural polymers (raw lacquer), biomass materials and organic polymers, our team conducted basic and application research in the fields of heavy-duty anticorrosive coatings, marine antifouling coatings, flame retardant and fireproof materials, surface wettability, polymer fluorescent materials, hydrogels, optical coatings, etc.
