Our Vision: Organisms in nature perceive and respond to sunlight through various photosensitizing protein machineries, which play important roles in human vision, the circadian clock of plants and birds' migratory behavior, to name a few. We aim to understand how those protein machineries work dynamically on the residue level by various tools in interdisciplinary areas among physical chemistry, optics, molecular biology and chemical biology.
