Dr. Xiaoyu Yang is currently an associate professor at ShanghaiTech University. He obtained his doctoral degree in 2012 from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry under the mentorship of Prof. Biao Yu. Following this, he carried out his postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley from 2013 to 2016, collaborating with Prof. F. D. Toste. Since 2016, he has been a principal investigator at SPST, ShanghaiTech University, focusing his research endeavors on asymmetric catalysis and carbohydrate chemistry. He has been honored with prestigious awards, including the National Excellent Youth Fund project in 2022, the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Plan in 2017, and the "Thieme Chemistry Journals Award" in 2020. He has authored multiple papers as corresponding author and (co)first author in esteemed journals including Science, J Am Chem Soc, Angew Chem, Nat Commun, ACS Catal, Chem Sci, Chem Rev, among others.
