Li Ang
Professor
RNA Biology
Ang completed his Ph. D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Beijing Institute of Genomics under the direction of Professor Yun-gui Yang, where he identified novel m6A and m5C readers. He then started his postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Ralph Kleiner at Princeton University, where he developed novel tools to profile the Dihydrouridine and 5-formylcytosine at single base resolution. In October 2022, Ang began his appointment as a full Professor in the Department of Life Science at Shan Dong University. His research focus on deciphering the role of RNA and RNA modifications in regulating RNA fate determination.
