Ang Li completed his Ph. D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Beijing Institute of Genomics under the direction of Professor Yun-gui Yang, where he identified novel m6A and m5C readers. He then started his postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Ralph Kleiner at Princeton University，where he developed novel tools to profile the Dihydrouridine and 5-formylcytosine at single base resolution. In October 2022, Ang began his appointment as a Professor in the Department of Life Science at ShanDong University. His research focus on deciphering the role of RNA and RNA modifications in regulating RNA fate determination.

昂在北京基因组研究所杨运桂实验室完成了博士训练，博士期间他发现了新的m6A和m5C结合蛋白。他随后在美国普林斯顿大学Ralph Kleiner教授研究组完成了博士后训练，博士后期间开发了RNA DHU和f5C单碱基水平的测序方法。他的研究兴趣是阐明RNA及RNA修饰在RNA命运代谢中的重要调控作用。
