Chem, a sister journal to Cell, provides a home for seminal and insightful research and showcases how fundamental studies in chemistry and its sub-disciplines may help in finding potential solutions to the global challenges of tomorrow.

Chem publishes work from across the chemical sciences and at the interfaces between chemistry and other disciplines. is a graduate of Newcastle University in England and brings to Chem his over 15 years of experience in chemistry publishing. He came to Cell Press from the Royal Society for Chemistry, where he helped grow submissions and readership of Chemical Society Reviews and Chemical Communications and led the launch of Chemical Science.

is an organic/synthetic chemist who completed his PhD at Freie Universität Berlin and postdoctoral studies at Princeton and the City University of New York. For the last 3 years, he worked on Elsevier’s Reaxys platform and joined the team in April 2016.
