Understanding the Earth's changing climate, and its consequences, is a scientific challenge of enormous importance to society. Nature Climate Change is a monthly journal dedicated to publishing the most significant and cutting-edge research on the nature, underlying causes or impacts of global climate change and its implications for the economy, policy and the world at large.

Nature Climate Change publishes original research across the natural and social sciences and strives to synthesize interdisciplinary research. The journal follows the standards for high-quality science set by all Nature-branded journals and is committed to publishing top-tier original research in all areas relating to climate change through a fair and rigorous review process, access to a broad readership, high standards of copy editing and production, rapid publication and independence from academic societies and others with vested interests.
Scope

In addition to publishing original research, Nature Climate Change provides a forum for discussion among leading experts through the publication of opinion, analysis and review articles. It also highlights the most important developments in the field through Research Highlights and publishes original reporting from renowned science journalists in the form of feature articles.

Chief Editor: Bronwyn Wake

Bronwyn joined Nature Climate Change in 2012. She has handled research manuscripts and review and opinion articles across the entire breadth of physical climate sciences, the marine and aquatic environment, and interdisciplinary articles integrating natural and social science disciplines in the context of climate and global environmental change. In November 2014 she moved to the Sydney office before returning to the London office to become Chief Editor in May 2016. Bronwyn completed her postgraduate studies at University of Tasmania, Australia, with a PhD in trace element biogeochemistry and first class Honours in Antarctic Studies. Her postdoctoral work at the University of Southampton, UK and European Institute for Marine Studies, Brest, France focused on trace metal cycling in marine waters and their roles as micronutrients for phytoplankton. Bronwyn is based in the London office.

Senior Editor: Jenn Richler

Jenn joined Nature Research in 2016 as a Senior Editor serving Nature Climate Change and Nature Energy. She handles a broad range of manuscripts from across the behavioral sciences, including psychology, sociology, behavioral economics, political science, and communications. Prior to joining the company, Jenn was an associate editor at Journal of Experimental Psychology: General where she handled manuscripts spanning all areas of experimental psychology, and a writer for the American Psychological Association, where she covered primary research for a general academic audience. Jenn completed her PhD in psychology and postdoctoral work at Vanderbilt University, USA. Jenn is based in the New York office.

Associate Editor: Baird Langenbrunner

Baird joined Nature Climate Change in 2019 and handles manuscripts addressing the impact of climate change on the physical climate system.  He holds a PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he worked on various aspects of uncertainty in historical and future precipitation in climate models.  He completed postdoctoral work at UCLA and UC Irvine, where he studied the effects of climate change on regional hydroclimate in tropical forest regions.  Baird is based in the New York office.

Associate Editor: Alyssa Findlay

Alyssa joined Nature Climate Change in 2019 and handles manuscripts broadly in the area of climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation. She holds a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Delaware, USA and completed postdoctoral work in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, and in the Department of Bioscience at Aarhus University, Denmark. Her research ranged from marine and lake biogeochemistry to carbon cycling in Arctic marine sediments and integrated chemical, microbiological and modelling approaches. Alyssa is based in the London office.
