收稿范围 | This international journal is devoted to the elucidation of properties and processes that occur at the boundaries of materials. The scope of the journal covers a broad range of topics in experimental and theoretical studies of surfaces and interfaces. Both the physical and chemical properties are covered. The journal also places emphasis on emerging areas of cross-disciplinary research where new phenomena occur due to the presence of a surface or an interface. The scope of the journal includes (but is not necessarily limited to) the following topics: surface science of heterogeneous catalysis, electrocatalysis and photocatalysis thermodynamic properties and kinetic phenomena of surfaces and interfaces surfaces and interfaces of biomaterials, biocompatible materials, bioinspired materials and natural systems surfaces and interfaces of soft matter, including colloids, polymers, biomaterials, liquid crystals, etc. surface and interface deposition and growth by vapour deposition techniques, thermal and plasma spraying; surface and interface modification by directed energy deposition by lasers, ion or electron beams or other techniques such as plasma jets thin film: properties and characterization, deposition, including physical and chemical vapor deposition and molecular beam epitaxy; ultrathin and submicron confined surfaces and interfaces, magnetic thin films and interfaces, atomic layer deposition and atomic layer etching, nanostructured thin films, thin film solar cells and organic and hybrid solar cells, ultrathin surfaces and interfaces surface and interface functionalization: surfactants and detergency, hydrophilicity, hydrophobicity, smart materials, energy, environmental, food, and medical applications surface analysis and surface applications for life and environmental protection characterization and imaging techniques of surfaces, surface modification of materials for advanced or engineered applications, artificial intelligent machining and designing surface and interface science of semiconductors, surface magnetism and interface magnetism nanostructured surfaces and interfaces, surface science of nanotechnology and devices 2D assembly, 3D assembly, and supramolecular assemblies, surfaces and interfaces of low dimensional materials topological surface states |
