Stefan Spiegel Stefan Spiegel, PhD Editor-in-Chief Stefan studied chemistry at the University of Mainz, Germany, and received his Ph.D. in 1995 from the Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, for his work on solid-state NMR investigations on polymeric systems under the guidance of H.-W. Spiess. He has worked as an editor of the Macromolecular Journals since 1997, where his present responsibilities focus on the titles Macromolecular Theory and Simulations, and Macromolecular Reaction Engineering; he also is the Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Theory and Simulations. Stefan started working with the Journal of Applied Polymer Science team in 2013 and became the Editor-in-Chief in 2014. Conor Doss Conor Doss, PhD Deputy Editor Conor studied biology at Oberlin College before completing a PhD on activator-coactivator protein interactions at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with Anna K. Mapp. He joined Angewandte Chemie in August 2015 as an in-house editor covering the topics of chemical biology, biopolymers, nanomedicine, and theranostics. Conor joined the Journal of Applied Polymer Science in February 2017 and became the Deputy Editor in July 2017. Bo Weng Bo Weng, PhD Deputy Editor Bo obtained her BSc at Beihang University. She subsequently obtained her PhD degree in Chemistry at the University of Wollongong in December 2012. After that, Bo worked in Southwest University for three years. Her research mainly focused on conducting polymers. Bo joined Wiley in October 2016 where she works as an Editor for the Macromolecular Journals, Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Science and the Journal of Applied Polymer Science. Since October 2019, Bo is the Deputy Editor of the Journal of Applied Polymer Science and of Advanced Science. Ying Jia Ying Jia, PhD Associate Editor Ying received her B.S. from Dalian Nationalities University and obtained her Ph.D. from Saint Louis University. Her research focused on polymer synthesis and applications. She joined the Journal of Applied Polymer Science team in 2017. Mara Staffilani Mara Staffilani, PhD Associate Editor Mara received her PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, for her studies on luminescent metal complexes for diagnostics applications. During her doctoral degree she spent two years in the research laboratories of Roche Diagnostics. In 2003 she moved to publishing to work as the Editor of Macromolecular Chemistry & Physics and Macromolecular Bioscience. She then took on the position of Managing Editor of Biofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining journal and website in 2008. Since March 2013 she joined again the Wiley polymer journals as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Polymer Science and Macromolecular Chemistry & Physics. Marc Zastrow Marc Zastrow, PhD Associate Editor Marc obtained his diploma degree and his PhD in chemistry from the Technical University Berlin. He initially joined Wiley in 2013 as editor for ChemInform. Since October 2016, he is part of the Wiley-VCH Materials, Physics and Life science peer-review team. He is based in the Berlin office. Post-Acceptance Team The post-acceptance team is responsible for the daily management of in-house journals. They play a pivotal role in ensuring the scheduled release of issues and liaise with authors and production editors after manuscript acceptance. The team is composed of Associate Managing Editor Maria Monte and Editorial Assistant Carla Amador.
