收稿范围 | Frontiers in Neuroanatomy publishes research revealing important aspects of the anatomical organization of all nervous systems across all species. Led by Specialty Chief Editor Prof. Javier De Felipe (Cajal Institute, CSIC, Spain) and supported by an outstanding editorial board of international experts, Frontiers in Neuroanatomy is indexed in PubMed Central (PMC), Scopus, Web of Science (SCIE), and DOAJ. The journal invites submissions that advance our understanding of the organization of the nervous system. Classical and modern techniques are welcomed, including: axonal transport methods to track the connections between brain regions electron microscopy techniques to obtain a more quantitative understanding of the sub-cellular organization of connections and synaptic characteristics immunocytochemistry to map protein expression patterns in situ hybridization to map gene expression patterns single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) technologies to obtain a better and high-resolution catalogue of different cell types in the nervous system and to generate a detailed atlas of cell types in different brain regions. We encourage studies that employ modern quantitative anatomical techniques in combination with experimental studies, but submissions of descriptive neuroanatomy and theories of neuroanatomical design are also welcome. The journal also encourages anatomical papers that are complemented by theoretical studies to better understand the anatomical design principles of the brain. The editors request that authors emphasize high-quality imaging and powerful illustrations in their submissions. Frontiers in Neuroanatomy encourages comparative studies between brain regions, between species, and also between health and disease, but is not concerned with studies that have a primary clinical focus or studies involving the development of surgical procedures. Frontiers in Neuroanatomy is committed to advancing developments in the field of neuroanatomy by communicating scientific knowledge to both researchers and the public, to enable the scientific breakthroughs of the future. |
