The Zheng lab's research focuses on microfluidics and synthetic biology. In microfluidics, we are interested in developing microanalysis technologies using nanoliter droplets, microwells, and microarrays. In synthetic biology, we are constructing hydrogel based artificial cells, and using the artificial cells in gene circuit engineering, metabolic engineering, and biosensors.
