In recent years, the development of physical chemistry has reached unprecedented prosperity, and the emergence of emerging and interdisciplinary disciplines has made the world of physical chemistry more fascinating. In order to further strengthen academic exchanges among various universities, promote the development of various branches of physical chemistry, and broaden the research horizons of graduate students, the Institute of Physical Chemistry and the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of Beijing University held the "Fifth Frontier Forum for Physical Chemistry Graduate Students" from May 25th to 26th, 2024. The forum consists of four sub venues: Materials and Colloids, Catalysis and Surface Dynamics, Theoretical Calculation and Biophysical Chemistry, Nanochemistry and 2D Materials. Graduate students in each sub venue engage in academic discussions and exchanges through oral presentations, wall posters, and other forms of communication. Dr. Zixian Li participated in this forum and won the Best Wallpaper Award.
