Liangjiao Xue is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Nanjing Forestry University, and has long been engaged in forest biological breeding and functional genomics research. Dr. Xue graduated from Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was a postdoctoral fellow and research assistant at the University of Georgia, USA. His research focuses on the precise improvement of fertility, growth and stress tolerance traits in forest trees, and he has carried out research on the analysis of the formation mechanism of target traits and germplasm innovation. His research results have been published in Nature Communications, Plant Cell and Molecular Plant, and he has been granted several invention patents. He has been selected for the National Major Talent Project (Youth Project), Young Top Talents in Forestry and Grassland Science and Technology Innovation, Jiangsu Distinguished Professors, Jiangsu Shuangchuang Talents, etc. He has presided over the major projects of Agricultural Biological Breeding, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in the 14th Five-Year Plan of the National Key Research and Development Program and the Jiangsu Provincial Key Research and Development Program (Modern Agriculture); and he has been selected for the Second Batch of "National Universities' Yellow River Breeding Program" and "National Universities' Yellow River Breeding Program". As a key member of the teacher team of efficient cultivation of forest resources, he was selected as one of the second batch of "Huang Dainian Teacher Teams in National Universities".
